Rich Froning talks with Jimmy Hensel about the mindset tool he uses to manage Energy vs Emotion in his life. Transcript below -
Jimmy Hensel:
We're talking about Challenge #2, and the idea of the difference between emotion and energy
Rich Froning:
Not get stuck in the middle there.
Jimmy Hensel:
Yeah, yeah. Talk a little bit about just in general terms, what keeping your emotions under control, the values that you live by, what that means? Just some general things that you think.
Rich Froning:
Yeah. So, I mean, this one was really good to think about in terms of Feel, Filter, Think, Flow. So many people get lost in the feel and you make your decisions based off of that. If you have something to filter it through, and you have these values, you have your BE defined... you can use that as your filter, think about it, and you have, as you always say, you have a chance. If it's written down, you have a chance. It's on you to do it, but you at least have these values, and you have this thing that you've written down and this code that you can live by and should live by, if that's really what you believe in, and you really believe in the things that you've written down.
